Jason White Set for Friday Night Fight at ORP
When the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series visited the 5/8-mile track at O’Reilly Raceway Park last season Jason White was on a mission. A mission to get to the front of the field, but his journey was cut short when the motor failed in his No. 23 truck as White was working his way towards the top-five. White is ready to continue that mission Friday night when the trucks return to ORP.
White’s Dodge RAM truck will have a new look this week at ORP; the black No. 23 will be wrapped in the bright green and yellow colors of ASI Limited, an Indianapolis based leader in the building enclosure industry, with associate sponsorship from Akzo-Nobel.
Following last weeks eleventh place finish at Gateway, White moved back into the top-ten in the season point standings and is less than ninety points out of the top-five, a goal that White set for the No. 23 team before the beginning of the season. “We need to avoid mistakes to get back up in the points. We’ve had trucks that are good enough to run up front, but have had either bad luck or something else backfire on us.”
Jason is confident about the chances for the ASI Limited Dodge this week at ORP. “I love racing and I’m always excited to get to a racetrack,” White said. “But I am more excited about ORP than any track since Daytona.”
“I know the truck we are bringing, with the set-up we have and I just have a good feeling about this race.” Jason explained. “Last year we were dialed-in and headed to the front before we blew the engine. I’m planning to pick right up where we left-off.”
“The whole team wants to do a good job for Ken (SS Green Light Racing owner Ken Smith) at his home track, we know it means a lot to him to have a good run at ORP.”
White and the No. 23 ASI Limited Dodge RAM will make an appearance on Thursday at ASI Limited’s headquarters in Whitestown, just north of the track. Jason will be signing autographs for employees and guests who will also have the opportunity to tour the SS Green Light Racing hauler.
Thirty-seven trucks are on the entry list for the AAA Insurance 200.
Practice for the NCWTS AAA Insurance 200 at the O’Reilly Raceway Park will be July 23rd from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with qualifying at 5:00pm. The race will be shown live on SPEED TV at 8:00 p.m. and will also be broadcast live on MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite radio.
ASI Limited is a leader in the Building Enclosure and Ornamental Metals industry. Indianapolis based ASI Limited’s ability to take a project from it’s inception to its completion separates them from their competition. In 2003, the Ornamental Division was established as a national supplier of ornate products. Currently the Ornamental Division is supplying materials for many United States Embassies overseas and projects throughout the country. ASI will be partnering with their customers in the NCWTS to continue to build relationship and teamwork. For more information visit www.asilimted.com
